Improving Your Youth Football Defense - The Punting Game

Improving Your Youth Football Defense, Punting Tips For Youth Football

Coach Kohl from the Kohl’s Kicking Camps presented three times at the Chicago Glazier Clinic and did a great job. Kicking is an area we admittedly have yet to develop a core excellence in and Coach Kohl showed us why or better yet, maybe why not. Like most youth football coaching staffs, we used some common sense, trial and error and hoped for the best. As you might expect, we had better than average results when we had good “natural” kickers and weaker results when we had average natural kickers.

The Cornhole Game Can Be Made At Home

People can buy the cornhole game at a lot of different places, but it is also easy and fun to make your own game set. By doing that, you will have a great game to play when you are finished, but you will also have the satisfaction of a job well done. The whole family can even join in if they want to, and it can become a project for everyone to work on. Not everyone would enjoy doing this, but most people like to be handy and creative. If they are given the chance, they can make all sorts of things. To make a Cornhole game at home you only need some basic tools and basic woodworking skills. It is much easier to do than most people think. It might not look quite like a professional set if you are a beginner, but that does not mean that you cannot have fun with it and enjoy the game once it is done. There is no need to worry about perfection right away - the basics will be sufficient. The game board can be made from something other than wood, but it is not recommended. While some of the boards that can be bought are made from plastic, this is much more difficult to work with than wood. It is not something that most people can do in their garage or their basement.

Deer Hunting Tips - Things To Avoid While Hunting

Here are a few things to remember when getting ready to hunt and while hunting:

There plenty of things to avoid doing before and while you are hunting. The first thing you should take into consideration is what you wear and how you smell before a hunt. If you are hunting in a treestand or walking through the woods than a good idea would be to wear camouflage so that you blend into the woods and the trees. Another bad habit most hunter have is there scent. Believe it or not taking a shower right before a hunt can be a very bad idea. The soaps and gels you use can carry a avid scent to deer that will make then run away. Another thing to stay away from is cologne. We all know how strong cologne is and deer have a very sensitive sense of smell.

Martial Artist Suggests Boxing Out Of The Think!

You’ve heard of thinking outside of the box, that splendid practice of seeking unconventional answers to problems, freeing yourself from constraints, and brainstorming your way to the new and exciting.

It’s wonderful, but our typical thought grooves are often firmly imprinted, and thinking our way to better thinking can be as difficult as pulling yourself up by your bootstraps, or by your hair, for Baron Munchhausen fans.

So, how can we more capably think out of the box?

Don’t do it!

Instead, try boxing out of the think!

Is The Ironman Forever?

Someone asked me if the Ironman would one day run its course and slowly disappear from the sports landscape.

Personally I would bet that in the early years there were many who watched from the sidelines who believed just that. Especially when anyone who even dared show up at the start line was nothing more than a fit lunatic with a death wish.

When the Ironman was moved to Kona, I’m sure the Iron Gods watched with interest as those adventurous few travelled the searing King K. highway. little did they realize that one day they would be recognized as the pioneers of this great event that would span the globe and change the lives of anyone with the courage to tame their demons and take up the challenge.

5 Open Water Swim Tips For Triathletes

1. Try your race goggles in open water swims *before* the actual race. The visibility that you experience in the pool will be noticeably diminished in the open water. It doesn’t make sense at all for something as simple as goggles to severely affect your swim, so esnure that you’re confident with your current specs. If they leak, fog, or offer poor sighting in the open water, get a new pair. A company called Aquasphere makes a great swim mask with good face hugging capabilities and awesome visibility.

History Of The Tour De France: Post World War Tour

Europe gained some much needed distraction after World War II with the peaceful duels of the Tour de France, rapidly cementing its place as one of Euope’s preeminent sports contests. Post World War Rivalries Henri Desgrange, the Tour de France founder, died in 1940. His successor was Jacque Goddet. The Germans tried to persuade Goddet to hold the race during the war years, but he refused. He considered the first race following the war, in 1947, to be an act of faith given the post-war shortages. Jean Robic of France won and this did much to improve the country’s morale. The government even allowed the Tour to break the food rationing rules.
