How can you keep yourself on track? Well, as you might expect, your reaction will have to depend on the distraction. Different distractions require different reactions.

Having trouble concentrating? You’re not alone! With today’s frenzied pace of life, it’s easy to be overwhelmed with demands on your time, and even easier to get distracted. Try using a few simple steps to recharge your mind and reclaim your focus.

Eliminate Distractions
Not to state the obvious, but to really concentrate, it’s important to eliminate or at least minimize distractions. But what is distracting to one person may not be for another. Me, I like to listen to music to concentrate, but for some people, it just makes them want to throw things across the room. Identify your distractions ? anything from noise to phones to people - and do what you can to reduce their distraction potential.

A Timely “no” Beats A Mysterious “maybe” Every Time

Lots of people fear rejection, and of course this afflicts salespeople, too.

For this reason, some sellers are afraid to close, which is directly asking for assent, and others fear calling back and following-up because they’re concerned they’ll seem too impatient and aggressive and this will spoil a deal that may have ripened with time.

But I believe it is exceedingly helpful to drive each prospect to a commitment one way or another and the sooner the better!

Just today, I exchanged email with a prospect who said he was going to take 4-6 weeks to
approve my deal because he wants to do some research.
